Parmi les chansons de Gene MacLellan on trouve de très gros succès tels que Snowbird et Put Your Hand in the Hand et d’autres chansons populaires telles que The Call, Bidin’ My Time, Thorn in My Shoe, If It’s Alright With You, etc. Au-delà d'une centaine d'artistes ont enregistré ses chansons, y compris  Anne Murray, Elvis Presley, Loretta Lynn, Chet Atkins, Joan Baez, Count Basie, Lynn Anderson, Bing Crosby, Renée Martel, etc.

This is a very moving and memorable multimedia show, one that will stay with you for a long time! This is our 100th concert and it will be our most talked about event of 2019! We saw it in Charlottetown and it’s truly a phenomenal show.

Catherine, a multi-award winner, including a Juno, will be accompanied by a marvelous band that is comprised of Kim Dunn (a fabulous pianist and a very soulful singer), guitarist Chris Gauthier (who is seen in Catherine's videos), and bassist Remi Arsenault. This is a multimedia concert that features narration as well as photos and videos on a large screen. In 2017 and 2018 this show was presented in Charlottetown three nights a week during July, August, and September. It was sold out almost every night. This is the first time that Catherine will perform this show outside Charlottetown.

Gene McLellan has written some very big hits such as Snowbird and Put Your Hand in the Hand and found success with many other songs as well, including The Call, Bidin’ My Time, Thorn in My Shoe, If It’s Alright With You, etc. Well over a hundred artists have recorded his songs, including Anne Murray, Elvis Presley, Loretta Lynn, Chet Atkins, Joan Baez, Count Basie, Lynn Anderson, Bing Crosby, etc.

La presse parle de Catherine/Media praise for Catherine MacLellan

More than just a series of songs, this is a story — a daughter’s tribute to her gifted and complicated dad...Take some of PEI’s finest musicians, add a talented singer and legendary music. What do you get? A show without fault. The music, breathtaking, the pacing is tight, the story is engaging — both sweet and sad... Even if you aren’t familiar with the MacLellan family, you’ll love this show. It glistens with good energy and talent. It’s heartfelt...a real gem.   -The Buzz

The show is constructed in a simple linear pattern, with short stories of Gene MacLellan’s life stitched together with songs and pictures. The conceit serves its subject well...— the story holds, and there is a wonderful simplicity which carries the evening forward…..the real specialness of this show is that they all possess the maturity to allow themselves to be momentarily subsumed and lifted by Gene MacLellan’s spirit. And that is a special act of generosity well worth witnessing.  -The Journal Pioneer

There are skillful tributes and heartfelt homages, and then there’s If It’s Alright With You, which finds Juno Award winner Catherine MacLellan covering songs by her legendary late father, with a magnificence only blood ties can summon. -Shivering Songs 2018

It shares the most painful and beautiful details of her father’s – and her own – experiences with mental illness and making music…it is part theatre, part Island music history lesson, and part mental-health awareness campaign. All of it is a loving treatment of the Gene MacLellan songbook. As historic photos of her father’s life scroll by, MacLellan walks us through his rise to musical fame and the mental illness that eventually took his life…..The reclusive Gene MacLellan’s life was a mystery to many of his fans. Now, in her own words and his songs, Catherine tells the very personal story...The show features MacLellan and her incredible band, interpreting her father’s beloved classic and also rare, unreleased songs. She also shares her own experience with depression and anxiety.  -www.princeedwardisland.ca

"Catherine MacLellan's stage show 'If it's Alright with You' is an honest, poignant and joyous celebration of the music and the father that was Gene Maclellan.  At the same time the show admits to the emotional and personal challenges of performance and of life -  and begins a discussion of well-being that we all need.  Do see it while you can!" -Ernest J. Dick, author of 'Remembering Singalong Jubilee: The Story of the CBC Show that Launched East Coast Music'

"A voice like honey dusted in gold". (Boston Herald)

"Her album will melt more than a few hearts this miserable winter."  (The Niagara Falls Review)
