Le Moulin n'a pas présenté beaucoup d'auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes au fil des années, mais ceux que nous avons présentés ont connu un grand succès pour le Moulin. Ces artistes étaient Matt Andersen, Ron Hynes, Lennie Gallant, William Prince, Old Man Luedecke, David Myles et Catherine McLellan qui a rendu hommage à son défunt père Gene. Nous vous présentons maintenant Dave Gunning !

-Dave a récemment sorti son 14e album.

-Son album en hommage à John Allan Cameron a été mis en nomination pour un Juno en 2012 et a reçu un Prix de musique folk canadienne.

-Il a été mis en nomination pour 6 Prix de musique folk canadienne et en a remporté 2, dont celui du Meilleur artiste émergent en 2011.

-Il a été nommé pour 23 prix ECMA et en a remporté 9.

-Il a également remporté 4 concours internationaux d'écriture de chansons et a été finaliste à 6 reprises.

En spectacle, Dave est souvent très drôle et toujours très sympathique. Plusieurs de ses chansons traitent des modes de vie et des préoccupations rurales ainsi que de l'histoire de la Nouvelle-Écosse.

Le Moulin hasn't presented many singer-songwriters over the years but the ones we have presented were a big success for us. These artists were Matt Andersen, Ron Hynes, Lennie Gallant, William Prince, Old Man Luedecke, David Myles, and Catherine McLellan with a tribute to her late father Gene. Now we bring you Dave Gunning!

-Dave has recently released his 14th album.

-His tribute to John Allan Cameron album was nominated for a Juno in 2012 and own a Canadian Folk Music Award.

-He has been nominated for 6 Canadian Folk Music Awards and won 2, including Best New Emerging Artist in 2011. 

-He has been nominated for 23 ECMA Awards and has won 9 of those.

-He has also won 4  international songwriting contests and has been a finalist 6 times.

In live performances Dave is often very  funny and always very personable. Many of his songs deal with rural lifestyles and concerns as well as with Nova Scotia history.
